Agape In Africa Ministries
AiAM is a partner organization working in many African countries. |
AiAM's vision is to help the local indigenous churches in every country in Africa to plant Bible-believing, Christ-centred churches in every village, town and city on the continent of Africa.

Training Strategy
1 In-service training
We go to where these leaders live and work and present training to them through seminars and/or workshops with materials in their context.
2 Video and/or audio
These media can help our efforts tremendously, especially where the cost and distances involved makes in-service training difficult. In the Copperbelt province of Zambia we are already making use of video training. We hope to establish more of these schools in Democratic Republic Of Congo (former Zaire), Botswana, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Angola and West Africa, as the funds permit.
Walk Thru The Bible (TM) Video Minisitry:
We have entered into a partnership with "Walk Thru The Bible" Video Ministy (USA). We also now use these videos to teach the students and Church leaders on various subjects.
3 Equipping and training of laity
We assist pastors to equip and develop members of the body of Christ for ministry (Eph 4:11-12). Every church must become a training centre for members. On an ongoing basis we minister in local churches on the subjects of spiritual gifts, home cell groups, church planting, identifying and developing of leaders and the great commission to the church.

CHURCH PLANTING and LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL (CPLS) |
We believe there should be a Christ-centered, Bible-believing congregation for every people/ethnic group within walking distance, on the continent. We believe the whole Body of Christ should be involved in the great commission in every village or community. This requires a Christ-centered, Bible-believing church for every community and village. We believe that the necessary manpower and resources are in Africa, although undeveloped, and in desperate need of training, mobilizing and materials.
We have started our first Church Planting School in Mufulira (Copperbelt Province, Zambia), in January 2001, and up to date we've had 29 intakes (classes). We are currently busy translating the material into Chibemba (for Zambia), Kiswahili (East Africa) and French (for Central and West Africa). Up to date we have trained close to 500 Church planters. Some of these brothers and sisters have already planted more than 30 churches each. |
CPLS Locations
Since 1993, AiAM has been working to plant churches all over Africa, with special focus on Malawi, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Nigeria, and South Africa.
In Zambia, where LRPI works, Agape in Africa is very involved in 5 provinces: Northern province, Central province, Luapula province, Copperbelt province and the Northwestern province.
Northern province:
In Kasama, the capitol, we have established very good relationships with all the local leaders, and we regularly conduct seminars, teaching them leadership development, church planting, home cell training etc. Some of these churches have now planted new churches in the Mutuka villages (just below lake Tanganyika, near Mbala), also Chinsali (below Tanzania).
We are also in the process of opening up a Church Planting School in Kasama.
Luapula Province:
Around lake Bangweulu (Samfya, Lubwe, Cholansenga villages) we have been able to assist local leaders to plant churches. At Cholansenga, we have a lady that has now planted 8 churches. She walks from sunrise to sunset from one village to the next, with only water and no food. She does not know how far these villages are apart, except that it takes one day’s walking.
Around the Luwingu area there are the Seleketi and Musungu villages where we have been able to assist about 10 local churches. Here we have whole villages that belong to the local church.
Copperbelt Province:
In and around the following towns and cities we have established very good relationships with most of the local leaders: Ndola, Kitwe, Mufulira, Murundu, Chingola and Chililabombwe. Here are hundreds of leaders and churches that we have been assisting, teaching and training since 1993. Churches that were struggling with 50 and less membership are now growing dynamically with some of up to 500 members, and reaching out to other areas and townships, where no churches exist. Hundreds of pastors have benefited from our involvement. We, however, could do much more if we should have the required resources.
North-Western Province:
Solwezi, the capitol, is where we have about 8-10 churches that we work with, by also assisting with training and teaching.
Western Province:
We are assisting one of our spiritual sons, Pastor Jones Munkanda, who has planted a new ministry on the border with Angola, the Chavuma area and Zambezi.
Central Province:
We also have a group of churches in Lusaka (Capitol of Zambia), with whom we are working. There will also be a group of pastors from Lusaka attending the Church Plant School. We also then want to start a School in Lusaka.
