Despite this, the village has remained relatively peaceful. This week, however, things have been different. We have been given reports of ritualistic murders – 8 people have been found dead and one young woman is missing. All but one man had their private parts missing. The killer is still at large, and the local police and soldiers have launched a man hunt.
Meanwhile, the rain has started and people are supposed to be cultivating and planting the maize. Because of the fear that has spread across the village, people have stopped working in the fields. This has potential to bring a very big disaster to Murundu since most of the people depend on growing their own maize.
Please join us in prayers for the people of Murundu. We hope that soldiers can arrest the murderer so that people can have peace to go outside their homes and continue to plant their crops.
