DJS Lower School serves grades Pre-K through 7.  When our youngest pupils arrive, about 25% suffer from BMIs that are severely low, Like every child at DJS, these children receive breakfast and lunch daily, but also are given a high protein snack each day, and rapidly attain and maintain healthy BMIs.  Pre-K and kindergarten classes are introduced to pre-literacy and mathematics building blocks; play and music figure largely into their day.  Beginning in grade 1, our accredited Zambian teachers teach curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education, with special emphasis on math, literacy and Bible,
