Special Items 

These are items which are not included in our general budget, but would be of great benifit.  Any funds donated to these items will go directly to the item indicated with no administrative costs.

Blanket for a Child

Most of the children we serve sleep on the floor of their homes.  The houses are heated by fire in the middle of the floor on cold evenings.  A blanket can provide more than just warmth.  It provides safety from smokey air and safety from potential fire.  It provides health benifits from better sleep and a barrier from bites which can cause malaria.

Sweater for a Child

In the winter (our summer), one of these sweaters will help to keep a child warm.  It will be designed such that it can be used as a school jersey, but we wouldn't be surprised if they sleep with them on, too.  These are sometimes knitted by the Enfys Women's Group.

Re-painting School Chalk Board

Chalkboards are a major part of the school.  These are not made from slate like the ones you remember from school, they are wooden boards painted with chalkboard paint.  Over time this wears thin and they need repainted.
